EDGE Pro NR8421 DECT NR+ IoT Gateway is an industrial IoT gateway designed for industrial applications, supporting DECT NR+, a non-cellular wireless communication technology defined within the 5G standard. It delivers operator- and SIM-independent connectivity, while its built-in web-based management interface enables fast and easy installation, allowing seamless integration into IoT projects in a short time. 

The device collects data from PLCs, sensors, meters, and other industrial equipment using IEC 62056-21, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP/IP protocols and securely transfers this data to central systems. Its integrated digital and analog I/O architecture reduces the need for additional control hardware, making it an ideal solution for remote I/O and basic automation applications. Data collected from Modbus-based field devices can be transmitted over an operator-independent private wireless 5G network built using DECT NR+ technology to other EdgePro devices or central points, enabling Modbus systems distributed across different locations to be reliably integrated within the same local IoT network without the need for wired infrastructure.
