Features
Everything you need for park and garden irrigation
The LoRaWAN solenoid valve controller, combined with the FAST IoT Platform, creates a fully automated, remotely manageable irrigation system for municipal parks, green spaces, median strips, and urban landscaping projects.

2 Solenoid Valve Outputs

2 independent outputs compatible with DC self-holding (latching) solenoid valves. Supports 5V, 9V, and 12V solenoid valves. Independent parameters can be defined for each valve.

5/9/12 VDC · 2-wire latching valve

2 Digital Inputs — Water Meter

2 GPIO interfaces connectable to pulse water meters for real-time flow volume monitoring. Track water consumption per zone in litres.

Pulse meter · Flow monitoring · Dry contact

Soil Moisture-Based Irrigation

Integrates with LoRaWAN soil moisture sensors. When moisture drops below the defined threshold, the valve opens automatically; it closes when the target moisture level is reached. Water waste is eliminated.

Moisture threshold · Auto trigger · Water saving

15 km LoRaWAN Range

Cover all valves in large parks and green areas with a single gateway using a LoRaWAN communication range of up to 15 km line-of-sight. No cabling infrastructure required.

LoRaWAN EU868 · OTAA/ABP · Class A&B

3 × 9,000 mAh Batteries — Replaceable

Three high-capacity Li-SOCl2 batteries at 9,000 mAh each. The low-power LoRaWAN Class A architecture enables years of operation without a mains connection.

Li-SOCl2 · Replaceable · Long life

Easy NFC Configuration

Configure the device by holding your smartphone close via NFC — no need to open the enclosure. USB Type-C configuration from a computer is also supported.

Why Is a Smart Park and Garden Irrigation System Necessary?

Municipal parks, median strips, roundabout plantings, and urban green spaces generate significant labour costs and water waste under manual irrigation management. Unnecessary watering after rain, plant disease caused by excessive moisture, and green areas dying from insufficient irrigation lead to major budget losses every year.

The Roltek smart park and garden irrigation system eliminates all of these problems by combining the LoRaWAN solenoid valve controller with the FAST IoT Platform. Manage and report on all irrigation points centrally — without sending maintenance teams to site.

What Can the System Do?

  • Independent remote control of 2 solenoid valves from a single device
  • Automatic irrigation based on soil moisture threshold
  • Volume-based irrigation (litre target setting)
  • Litre-accurate flow monitoring via pulse water meter
  • 15 km LoRaWAN range — no cabling required
  • IP67-rated — resistant to outdoor conditions
  • 3 × 9,000 mAh batteries — operates without mains power
  • Easy field configuration via NFC
  • Control all valves simultaneously via multicast
  • Autonomous operation during network outages
Use Cases
Smart irrigation for every green space
Works at every scale — from a small residential garden to a large municipal park, from a median strip to a campus.

System Architecture
Smart irrigation in 4 steps
1

Site Planning

Irrigation zones and valve points are identified. LoRaWAN gateway placement is planned; a single gateway is usually sufficient for large areas.

2

Installation

The IP67-rated controller is mounted on a pole or wall. Existing solenoid valves are connected to the controller with a 2-wire connection. No cabling infrastructure required.

3

Configuration

Irrigation parameters are loaded onto the device via NFC or USB. Moisture thresholds, alarm notifications, and zone names are defined on the FAST IoT Platform.

4

Remote Management

The system goes live. Instant valve control, moisture monitoring, and monthly consumption reports are all managed through the FAST IoT Platform.
